Designing Monday



Applique is finished!  I opted not to make each leaf 3D.  Stem ends are covered with yo-yos.


Now it is on to the quilting.  The free motion design shown on the pattern is similar to the overall piecing and appliqué with cherries and leaves and vines.  I'll try that with pencil and paper and see if I can master it.

    This looks like a very sweet quilt. The yo-yos add a nice touch at the end of the stems.

    The swirly design on the vines of this quilt really makes it, I think. It gives it a feel of graceful movement. So pretty! Can't wait to see how the quilting turns out.

    Kris, love your project. Sounds like you have a plan for the quilting. Any yummy variegated threads planned? They don't always work for a project, but when they do the project can really sparkle. Sandi

    I so love that quilt and your yo-yo's at the ends of the stems is so nice (just enough of the 3-D feel!). That quilt is definitely a pattern I would do!!! Hugs, Doreen
