Designing Monday

Cherry Pie, anyone?

I saw these sweet desserts on Quilt Inspiration last week and I have been hooked ever since. These are for the little ones in my life.   After I make a few more strawberries, I am branching out into the veggie kingdom.  I need some props for my preschool Spanish class.  There are links to tutorials on the Quilt Inspiration website or you can google them.

I also managed to get a small quilt quilted and bound this week and have another small one nearly quilted.  This will be my destiny for awhile as I try to empty out my closet of UFO's.

Be sure to check out Judy's blog for more beautiful design walls.

  1. Love the little basket quilt!
give yourself a big pat on the back for finishing up old projects instead of starting new ones.......gosh I am so bad at finishing!

    Happy Sewing

  2. Your mini quilts are beautiful, Kris! Love them both!
The felt food made me smile. DD#1 has taught preschool for a few years (she even worked in an ESL preschool for one year--she does speak Spanish) and she made a bunch of this stuff--including felt marshmallows and hot dogs on sticks, for roasting over a felt fire burning on felt logs. Cute stuff!

  4. Your stuffed food looks good enough to eat- No calories in those donuts! Congrats on the finishes. Minis are great for that, nearly instant gratification.
