Designing Monday

I am working on two projects right now.  I have started all the cutting and initial piecing of HST's for the Eat your Fruits and Veggies quilt that is a Pat Sloan design.  I downloaded the free pattern from her website and am using some of her fabrics as well as some of my stash and other coordinates.  I mail ordered the white fabric and it arrived on Saturday afternoon.  I could not wait to get busy cutting.

Here is one block laid out.

I also have started the Small Quilt of the Month from Sentimental Quilter.  It's not shown on her blog this month but is available from her chat group.  The block is called Constant Wife.  I managed to get these little blocks sewn up after much ripping and frustration.  It is so simple but I could not get my triangles in the right direction and somehow managed to get my square a little cattywampus.  All is in order now, so I just have to choose how I want my borders.

Have a happy day of sewing.  Hop on over to Judy's blog to see more designs.

  3. Two great looking blocks, but Constant Wife is my favorite. Isn't it maddening how sometimes the simplest blocks cause us to make so many little mistakes. Maybe because we think it is so easy we don't concentrate as much? : )

  5. Cattywampus- what a great word. I have never heard it before, but it sure is one to store away to use at a suitable moment.

  6. I really like the Constant Wife small quilt. It's good that you persevered through the trial of putting it together.
