Monday Designs

After seeing the setting for the Temecula Quilt Co.'s Blessing Baskets quilt, I have decided to go with a 4 block layout. So now am figuring out what fabrics to use for sashing and borders.
I also finished this little quilt that was a Quilt of the Month sew along from The Sentimental Quilter. I actually finished it twice as my borders were wavy, so I had to take them off and do them over. Measure twice and cut once is such good advice. I should take it sometime.

Check out the other designs on Judy's blog.

  1. both your basket quilts are too cute. Love the blue sashing in the 2nd one and the scrappy border.

  2. Wow -- these are darling. I haven't kept up with the Temecula Quilt Co. one but I really liked the first one they showed. Good for you. Two basket quilts done. Have you thought of joining in SmallQuiltChat on Yahoo groups... it's Kathy's group....

  4. The Temecula baskets will look great in a setting of four. I had actually been considering doing that with one of the sets I made.
Your other little basket quilt is so cute! Sometimes those wavy borders can be so pesky, but this looks like it turned out great the second time around! : )
