Where Was I?

I decided to take up quilting yesterday. It has been so long since I have done any sewing that it feels like I am pursuing a new hobby. I got busy making a Dear Jane block - G13. I scan each block when I finish and I save it to a file with the year and month so I can track my progress. I was very dismayed to see that my last save was in July. How did that happen?

I am determined to finish this quilt in 2011. I started in 2008 right after I bought the book and thought I could finish in about a year and a half. Well I guess it doesn't really matter how long it takes as long as I get it done.

  1. This is a beautiful block and we've missed you!

I have the Dear Jane book and it's about as far as I've gotten.

I really want to at least start mine this year. Is it difficult to follow?

  2. Congratulations on getting back to your JANE!
This is a darling little block.
    I love your fabric choices!

I too would like to finish this quilt in 2011.
Wishing you continued success in reaching your goal!

  3. I've had my top finished for 6 months or longer, and I started in 2001. I hope it doesn't take me another 10 years to get it quilted. I used the Dear Jane software a lot not only to print paper piecing patterns but to print some of the applique' pieces onto freezer paper. I love your choice of fabrics.

  4. Lovely block! And you shouldn't feel bad at all. I mean, I started in 2004 and have only just finished the center of mine. :P Though I'd like to have it done in 2011, I'm not holding my breath. Fortunately for me, it's not a race! :)
