While I was home, I went to a birthday party for another childhood friend who turned 60. I knew I had to make something special for her. I saw Luann's tutorial for a cute table topper and I knew that was it. I was shooting for fall, but ended up closer to Halloween with the fabrics I chose, but I was determined to use stash. She loved it and that is all that matters.
Thank you, Luann, for this wonderful idea.
A very fun table topper for the season!
ReplyDeleteGood for you going out of your way to support your class reunion. I still live in the same valley where I went to school and I don't attend my reunions. I like meeting old friends in small numbers, but don't enjoy the mass meetings. (sounds like a political caucus). : )
Your table topper is adorable and how wonderful that you gave it to a special friend. I went to three different high schools and don't keep in touch with anyone from high school. I'm always a bit envious of those with life long friends like yours. How nice that you were able to spend some time with them.
ReplyDeleteThat is a super sweet gift.....I'm sure she will treasure it in the days to come!!!! Nice way to use "orphan" blocks, too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just made some Dresden Plates too - fun colors in this!
ReplyDeleteIt really turned out great. I love the fall colors, and I'm shaking my head at myself wondering why I add all those strips to mine before adding that outside border. I've made several of those for gifts, too. I love yours.
