A Weekend of Fun

I went back home this last weekend to Indiana for my class reunion.  I always have so much fun when I go to one of these.  One of my oldest and most cherished friends was there and I had not seen her in years.  We both had teary eyes and could not let go from our hugs.

While I was home, I went to a birthday party for another childhood friend who turned 60.  I knew I had to make something special for her.  I saw Luann's tutorial for a cute table topper and I knew that was it.  I was shooting for fall, but ended up closer to Halloween with the fabrics I chose, but I was determined to use stash.  She loved it and that is all that matters.

Thank you, Luann, for this wonderful idea.

  1. A very fun table topper for the season!
Good for you going out of your way to support your class reunion. I still live in the same valley where I went to school and I don't attend my reunions. I like meeting old friends in small numbers, but don't enjoy the mass meetings. (sounds like a political caucus). : )

  2. Your table topper is adorable and how wonderful that you gave it to a special friend. I went to three different high schools and don't keep in touch with anyone from high school. I'm always a bit envious of those with life long friends like yours. How nice that you were able to spend some time with them.

  5. It really turned out great. I love the fall colors, and I'm shaking my head at myself wondering why I add all those strips to mine before adding that outside border. I've made several of those for gifts, too. I love yours.
